5:35 Southwell: Extra Winnings With BetUK Acca Club Handicap: With no stand-out meetings this week I’ve once again turned to the all-weather for my selections and the first pick comes within the 5.35 at Southwell which is a Class 6 handicap that’s contested over six furlongs. I like Three Beauz here for Rebecca Menzies and Kaiya Fraser who takes off three pounds. She was a neck second over five furlongs at Newcastle on New Year’s Day and will effectively contest this off a three-pound lower mark with Fraser’s claim coming into play. If she handles the extra furlong here I think she can have a serious say if she’s in the same form. Three Beauz – 11/2 (Each-Way)
6.35 Southwell: Weekly £5 Free Bet With BetUK Handicap: My second selection on the day comes in the 6.35 at Southwell which is a Class 4 handicap that’s ridden over six furlongs. I like Many A Star in this particular affair who represents the team of Jamie Osbourne and Hector Crouch. He’s won over course and distance off just a pound lower than today’s mark, and he ran a solid race on his most recent outing at Chelmsford last month when third of seven and two lengths behind the winner. I think a bold showing is on the cards. Many A Star – 9/2 (Each-Way)
7.05 Southwell: BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap: Next up for me is the 7.05 and this is Class 6 handicap action that’s also contested over six furlongs. I’m with Kaleidoscope Eyes here for Michael Appleby and Alistar Rawlinson. She comes into the contest a nine-race maiden, however, she’s consistent without managing to get her head in front. I put her up on her most recent outing when she finished fourth of twelve here over a mile and she didn’t get a clear run on that occasion. I think she can make her presence felt once again back down in trip. Kaleidoscope Eyes – 4/1 (Each-Way)
7.20 Wolverhampton: BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap: My fourth and final selection comes from Wolverhampton and the 7.20 which is more Class 6 handicap action, this time over seven furlongs. I’m siding with City Cyclone here for the team of Tony Carroll and William Carson. He’s on a tempting mark in this particular assignment having won over course and distance previously off a five-pound lower mark and he also represents a yard that are in fine form on the all-weather this winter. If he gets a clear passage, he should be bang there here at the business end of things. City Cyclone – 7/2 (Win)
