.10: William Hill Epic Boost Handicap: My first selection of the day on Sunday at Goodwood comes in the 2.10 which is a Class 3 handicap over seven furlongs. I like Toimy Son here for David Menuisier and Kyle Strydom. He’s a listed winner who posted his best effort for a while last time out when he finished second of twelve here last month. He remains on what appears to be a good mark and if turning up in the same form, he’s got every chance of going close. Toimy Son – 7/2 (Win) (NB)
.45: Hallgarten & Novum Wines / British EBF Novice Stakes: Next up it’s the 2.45 which is a novice event set to take place over six furlongs. This looks like a good opportunity for Principality for Richard Hannon and Oisin Murphy. He’s a colt by Calyx and ran a very encouraging race on his racecourse debut at Newmarket last month when finishing second of eight. If naturally progressing from that effort here he should be tough to beat. Principality – 11/8 (Win) (NAP)
.55: Weatherbys / British EBF Agnes Keyser Fillies’ Stakes: It’s the first Listed race of the day at 3.55 with the Keyser Fillies’ Stakes taking centre-stage over a mile and two furlongs. I’m going to take a chance on Bolsena against the hot favorite here for Kevin Ryan and James Doyle. She was impressive at Newmarket on her penultimate outing and took her form to the next level when placing in Listed company at York last time out. There’s likely more to come from her and if she continues to progress here she can go close. Bolsena – 6/1 (Each-Way)
.30: Rod Gaskin Garden Machinery Handicap: My penultimate pick of the day comes in the 4.30 which is a Class 3 handicap over two miles. I’m with Vino Victrix here for Hughie Morrison and Benoit De La Sayette. He’s a course and distance winner who posted an encouraging effort on his seasonal reappearance here last month. He’s now also a pound lower than his last winning mark, with that success also coming at this track. Course experience counts for a lot around here and I think he can go very well in this. Vino Victrix – 9/2 (Win)
.05: William Hill Tapster Stakes: Concluding the preview will be the 5.05 which is the Listed Tapster Stakes over a mile and four furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Deauville Legend bouncing back to form here for James Ferguson and Daniel Muscutt. He’s not been at his best for a while but has some very classy form to his name which includes success in the Group 2 Voltigeur Stakes at York back in 2022. He wasn’t totally disgraced when fourth in Ormonde Stakes last time out at Chester and if building on that here he could well feature. I think he’s a very smart animal on his day and if he puts his best foot forward he should be winning a race of this nature. Deauville Legend – 3/1 (Win)
