1.40 Beverley: Cottingham Claiming Stakes: Welcome back to the site after we’ve had a week off and we’re kicking things back off with the 1.40 at Beverley which is a claimer over five furlongs. This looks like a good opportunity for Unthinkable to claim her first victory for George Boughey and Billy Loughlane. She’s run well in three maidens so far showing ability in each run and the yard has once again been hitting the scoreboard with their two-year-old this term, if she runs up to form once more she should be bang there. Unthinkable – 5/6 (Win) (NAP)

2.40 Beverley: Skidby Restricted Maiden Stakes: Next up for me is the 2.40 at Beverley which is maiden action on the level over seven and a half furlongs. I think that Puella Law is the one to side with here for John & Sean Quinn who’s the mount of Jason Hart. She made her seasonal reappearance over course and distance earlier this month when finishing a fine second on her handicap debut, just three-quarters of a length behind the winner. She should be having a serious say now she’s reverted back to maiden company here. Puella Law – 6/4 (Win) (NB)

3.40 Beverley: Eppleworth Handicap: My third selection of the afternoon comes in the 3.40 at Beverley which is a Class 6 handicap that’s ridden over a mile and half of a furlong. I’m with Star Of St James here for the team of Ivan Furtado and Elle-May Croot who takes off seven pounds. He posted his most impressive run for some time last time out when finishing second of eight at Chepstow earlier this month, and his current mark is considerably lower than his last winning one, he also has the rider’s claim coming into consideration. Star Of St James – 9/1 (Each-Way) (4 places)

4.20 Hamilton: ICB Waterproofing Windows Handicap: My fourth and final selection of the afternoon comes from Hamilton and the 4.20 which is more handicap action, this time over six furlongs. I’m siding with Iris Dancer to back up her recent victory over course and distance for Tristan Davidson and Andrew Mullen. She knuckled down gamely to win here earlier this month and she’ll contest this off just a three-pound higher mark. If she turns up in the same kind of form there’s every chance that she can go in again. Iris Dancer – 11/2 (Each-Way)
