Welcome aboard to this Wednesday Midweek Preview, and after two days of no selections due to abandonments, I’m hopeful to get some on board at Haydock where I’ve got three picks to share with you all. Make sure to gamble responsibly if you are punting.
12.38: TrustATrader You Can Trust Our Traders Handicap Hurdle: I’ll be starting off with the 12.38 which is a handicap hurdle that’s contested over two miles and three furlongs. I think that this can go to Molly Ollys Wishes for the Skelton team. She’s not quite been at her best as of late, however, she has progressed with each of her two starts this term, with her most recent effort coming when finishing second at Wetherby last month. On her best form, she should be winning this fairly comfortably, and I’ll chance her to come on again from that Wetherby effort. Molly Ollys Wishes – 2/1 (Win)
2.20: TrustATrader Apply Today Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase: Next up it’s the 2:20 which is a handicap chase that’s ridden over a distance of two miles and five and a half furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Happy And Fine here who’s currently trading at a best price of 7/2 for Alex Hales and Kielan Woods. He ran a solid race on his seasonal reappearance at Wetherby last month, finishing third of thirteen, and has been generously dropped a pound for that effort. I think his current mark is within his reach and he’s every chance of going well in this. Happy And Fine – 7/2 (Win)
3.30: trustatrader.com Veterans’ Handicap Chase: My third and final selection of the afternoon comes in the 3.30 which is the Veteran’s Handicap Chase over three miles and one and a half furlongs. I think this can go to Good Boy Bobby who currently heads affairs for Sam & Nigel Twiston-Davies. He’s really found his feet this season within the Veteran’s series, winning both of his starts with his most recent success coming at Sandown last month. He won comfortably that day and a four-pound rise might not be enough to stop him. Good Boy Bobby – 6/4 (Win)
