Welcome aboard to my preview for the November Meeting which is set to take place at Cheltenham on Friday and runs through until Sunday. I’ll have a preview for each day of the meeting sharing my thoughts and opinions on the action, make sure to gamble responsibly if you are punting on any of my selections.
1.45: From The Horse’s Mouth Podcast Novices’ Chase: My first selection on Saturday will come in the 1.45 which is a listed novices chase over three miles and half of a furlong. I like Good Risk At All here who’s currently trading at a best price of 15/8, he bolted up on his chasing debut by the best part of sixteen lengths, beating Alaphillipe in the process. If progressing from that run again here he’ll be tough to beat. Good Risk At All – 15/8 (Win)
2.20: Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase: Moving onto the 2:20 which is the Paddy Power Gold Cup over two miles and four furlongs, and I’ve sided with Unexpected Party here for combination of Dan & Harry Skelton. He beat Knappers Hill here last month, and that rival has since gone onto to boost the form by winning impressively at Wincanton last weekend. He’s got a bit to find on past form with Stage Star, but he’s still progressing and I think at the prices he’s a solid bet at a track he enjoys. Unexpected Party – 7/1 (Each-Way)
3.30: Paddy Power Intermediate Handicap Hurdle: My third and final selection of the afternoon comes in the 3:30 which is handicap hurdle action over two miles and five furlongs. I like the chances of Springwell Bay here for Jonjo O’Neil who’s set to be ridden by Jonjo Jr. He progressed nicely last term, winning three times before finding Grade 1 company a bit too hot at Aintree on his final start. Back down into handicap company here could see him back to his best and I think he’s the one they have to beat here. Springwell Bay – 2/1 (Win)
