SOCIAL SYMBOL
This looks like a good opportunity for Social Symbol to add to his debut success for Simon & Ed Crisford; he’s run well in each of his last four outings, all of which came within pattern company, and he’s top-rated here. He’s also clear on Timeform ratings, and it would be disappointing if he didn’t post a serious bid at the business end of things here down in grade under Jack Mitchell.
3.43 Nottingham – (Class 4 Handicap) (1m 1/2f)
KAINDY
Roger Varian should hold a strong hand here with Kaindy, who’s the mount of Ray Dawson. He looked like a useful prospect when winning a novice event at Kempton on his penultimate start. He posted a highly encouraging effort when half a length second of eight to Lake Como on his handicap debut at Lingfield last time out, and there should be plenty more to come from him. He’s a big player off a pound higher mark on the turf.

The unexposed Bnaider will be a very warm order at the top of the betting here; however, it may pay to give another chance to Mr Seagull for Hugo Palmer and Jason Watson. He hasn’t won in ten outings since his debut success; however, his mark has been tumbling as a result, and he was unlucky last time out at Sandown when he finished fifth after being denied a clear run. He was sent off favourite on that occasion, and I think he’s got a handicap in him off this mark. If he gets more luck in the run on that occasion, he could make amends.
4.55 Salisbury – (Class 4 Handicap) (1m 2f)
SINTRA
There could be several improvers lurking in this particular affair; however, Andrew Balding’s Sintra should hold leading claims under Juddmonte’s retained rider, Colin Keane. He won a Class 3 handicap at Ascot back in May, and ran very well at Doncaster last month following a break after being gelded. HE was beaten just two lengths on that occasion by Bourbon Blues in a Class 2 affair, and that level of form could well be enough here down in grade. He merits plenty of respect off the same mark.
