Chepstow Tuesday's Bets

Tuesday’s Bets. (18/08/26)

Tuesday 18th August 2026

I’ve had one bet on Tuesday, which comes from Chepstow, and within the 3.50, a Class 6 handicap over a mile. This is competitive for the grade; however, it could well prove to be a good opportunity for six-year-old LOOK BACK SMILING to get his head in front again for Neil Mulholland and Tom Marquand. It’s been a long time between drinks for him, with his last success coming in the Spring Mile at Doncaster in 2024 off an eighteen-pound higher mark. However, he’s recently shown that he may well be running himself back into form; he was half a length third of ten at Kempton on his penultimate start back in July, before another respectable effort at Wolverhampton last time out, where he did well to finish as close as he did given his position. He drops back down to Class 6 company on this occasion, and he should be competitive at a minimum here.

Sporting a similar profile to the selection is No Nay Never gelding Risen Again for John & Rhys Flint, who’s the mount of William Carson. He’s only once in twenty-five starts; however, he was second of five at Yarmouth last time out. He’s also attractively weighted, and should also be running well at this level.

Selection: Look Back Smiling – (3/1) (Win) (NAP)

Shortlist: Risen Again – (7/2)

3.50 Chepstow
