RIVER OF STARS bounced back to form last time out when finishing an excellent half of a length second of eighteen in the Caulfield Cup, keeping on well when upped in distance back to twelve furlongs. He has to have a major chance on that run here, and he’s run well over this distance in the past. He’s trained by a master in Chris Waller, and he could represent some value here at his current price.

VAUBAN was favourite for this race last year for a long while, whilst under the care of Willie Mullins, and whilst he didn’t give his running in the Caulfield Cup last time out, he was only a length and a half behind the winner in a Group 1 handicap on his penultimate start. He does need to take a step forward on what he’s shown as of late, however, he does look a huge price for a horse with clear talent.
