SALISBURY SELECTIONS

2.30: MY BOY JACK – 9/4 (Win)

Has been running consistently lately, with a string of placed efforts to his name in all of his recent outings. Most recently, he finished a neck second at Thirsk in a classified event, and should be bang there again here. He’s won off a higher mark than today’s in the past.

2.50: BOX CLEVER – 11/8 (Win)

She progressed from her first start to finish third of nine in a Newbury maiden last month, and she should naturally progress again coming into her third run here. She sets the standard, and could get even closer at the business end of things this time around.

3.25: MERAPI15/8 (Win) (NB)

She’s shown a solid level of form in her two starts to date, finishing fourth on debut before making the frame when finishing third at Ffos Las last time out. She receives weight from many of her rivals here and should post a bold bid for Walker and Marquand.

4.00: RADIANCE – 8/11 (Win) (NAP)

Farhh filly, who made a big impression on her debut at Yarmouth last month, winning by over four lengths and beating a rival who’d already had a run in the process. That effort is the clear form setter here as we have plenty of debutants in the line-up, and she should be up for defying a penalty on that run, unless there is an above-average newcomer.

4.35: ORIONIS – 3/1 (Win)

She was a maiden winner at Ripon on good ground back in May over eleven furlongs, before following up on handicap debut at skinny odds at Windsor in her next outing. Most recently, she was only a length and three-quarters behind Chilli Queen in a competitive handicap at Ascot over today’s trip, and she’s better off at the weights with that rival here. She’s got every chance of turning that form around here and looks progressive.

5.10: SKIBO3/1 (Win)

Maiden after four starts, however, seemed to enjoy the step up in distance to today’s trip on his handicap debut at this track last time out. He kept on in the closing stages that day and went second at the post, and he’s been dropped a pound for that effort. He should naturally progress and go well again here for a top stable and jockey in Ralph Beckett and Rossa Ryan.
