5.45 Pontefract: Racing TV EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes: I’ve added a few selections for the evening meetings on Monday, the first of which comes from Pontefract and the 5.45, which is a Class 5 fillies’ maiden over six furlongs. I’m very strong on the chances of Lily Pearl here for Richard Fahey and Oisin Orr. She ran a very encouraging race on her racecourse debut, finishing fourth of ten at Pontefract last month and keeping to her task well in the closing stages. She should almost certainly progress from that outing and can put her experience to good effect here. There are a whole host of newcomers who could be of interest, with the most notable probably coming in the form of Pipily, who’s the mount of three-pound claimer Brandon Wilkie.
Lily Pearl – 4/5 (1.25pts Win)

8.30 Windsor: Network Aviation Group’s 40th Anniversary Handicap: I’ve got one pick from Windsor and this comes within the 8.30, which is a Class 5 handicap that’s contested over a mile and three and a half furlongs. I find it hard to see past Boy George here for Dominic Ffrench Davis, who’s set to be ridden by Oisin Murphy. He bolted up on his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow last month, winning a seven-runner field by the best part of four and three-quarters of a length. The jockey booking here shows intent to follow up, and if he’s in the same form, he should prove hard to beat. He’s up six pounds, but he has been competitive off this mark in the past, and the nature of the Chepstow win suggests it may not be enough to stop him. Ocean Heights is in great form, having won his last two starts well, and is the obvious main danger, whilst Alpine Stroll could go well at a big price as he’s back down to his last winning mark.
Boy George – 7/4 (1pt Win)

8.50 Pontefract: Mr Wolf Sprint Handicap: My concluding selection of the evening comes within the 8.50 at Pontefract, and this is a Class 5 handicap that’s contested over a distance of six furlongs. I’m with Profiteer here, who represents the team of Tim Easterby and David Allan. He’s progressed with each start this term, and was an encouraging fourth of eight last time out at Redcar, two and a quarter lengths behind the eventual winner. He didn’t get a clear passage on that occasion, yet kept on well in the closing stages. He’ll contest this particular contest off just a pound higher than his last winning mark, with that success also coming at this track over five furlongs. I think he’s got a big chance. The Good Biscuit looks a significant threat for the in-form Ruth Carr yard, as he’s on a dangerous mark, and another to note would be the unexposed three-year-old Loving Apprentice for Ed Dunlop.
Profiteer – 10/3 (1pt Win)
