1.05 Limerick: Limerick Racecourse Claiming Hurdle: My first selection of the week comes within the 1.05 at Limerick on Tuesday which is a Claiming Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Hascoeur Clermont here for Gavin Cromwell and Conor Stone-Walsh who takes off five pounds. He’s rated thirteen pounds higher over fences than the mark he’ll be running off here and unlike a lot of his rivals here he has shown glimpses of decent form in the not so distant past. His yard has a good strike-rate in claimers and I think he’s got every chance. He’s also previously won on heavy ground. Hascoeur Clermont – 13/2 (Each-Way)
3.05 Limerick: Limerick Races On Thursday 13th March Handicap Hurdle: The second selection on the day for me comes within the 3.05 at Limerick and this is a handicap hurdle that is contested over two miles. I like Moudan here who represents the team of Ciaran Murphy and Eoin Walsh. He’s progressed steadily since going handicapping and comes into the race in solid form having placed in two big-field handicaps in his last two starts. He’s only been nudged up a couple of pounds for finishing third of fifteen at Clonmel earlier this month and I think he’s got every chance of going even closer here. Moudan – 7/2 (Win)
