1.52 Newcastle: Gamble Responsibly At BetUK Handicap: The first of two selections for me on Thursday at Newcastle on the all-weather will come within the 1.52 which is a Class 6 handicap over a mile and two furlongs. I’m strong on the chances of Come On John here who represents the team of James Owen and Jason Watson. He’s ultra-consistent and arrives here having finished a narrow second on each of his last three outings. The drop back in trip could prove another plus for him having had form over further, as the finish here can catch a few out. Come On John – 6/4 (Win)
3.02 Newcastle: £30 In Free Bets With BetUK Handicap: My second selection comes in the 3.02 which is another Class 6 handicap this time over six furlongs. I’ve gone with Lahab here for Michael Wigham and Darragh Keenan. He’s far from the most prolific of winners, however, he drops back down in trip here having faded here a few days ago over a mile. I think this could suit, and he’s on a workable mark having got decent form at this track in particular off higher. If getting some luck in the run he’s got every chance. Lahab – 7/2 (Win)
