2.00 Salisbury: Danny McNab Bookmakers British EBF Restricted Novice Stakes: My first selection of Tuesday comes up at 2.00 from Salisbury and this is novice action over a distance of six furlongs. I like Cayman Tai here for Richard Hannon and Joe Levy who takes off five pounds. He’s finished second on both of his starts to date with his most recent effort coming at Windsor last week where he went down by just a neck. He gets weight off previous winner and market rival Blewburton here and I think he could well break his duck. Cayman Tai – 9/4 (Win) (NAP)
2.45 Southwell: Enjoy A Free Digital Racecard At raceday-ready.com Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase: I’m heading over to Southwell for my second selection of the day and the 2.45 which is a novice handicap chase over two miles and four and a half furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Party Business here for Ian Williams and Charlie Todd. He was a Grade 3 winner over hurdles and looks on a decent enough mark for his chasing bow here. If getting a clear round here he could go and close and prove somewhat of a useful performer over the larger obstacles. Party Business – 6/1 (Each-Way)
3.02 Salisbury: Radcliffe & Co Handicap: Next up for me is the 3.02 at Salisbury which is a Class 6 handicap that’s also ridden over six furlongs. I’ve sided with Match Anthem here who’s the mount of George Wood. It’s his handicap debut here and comes into the race having posted his best effort to to date last time out when finishing second of seven in novice company at Chelmsford last month. Switching to handicap company could very likely bring out further improvement and if building on that latest effort he can play a part. Match Anthem – 10/3 (Win)
4.37: Salisbury: Madar Corporation Maiden Stakes: My fourth and final selection of the day comes back at Salisbury and within the 4.37 which is maiden company over a mile and four furlongs. I like Crown Of India here for Ed Walker and Tom Marquand. He returned to the track with a fine third-placed effort here back in May and gave the impression that this step up in trip should suit him, given how he stayed on that day. He should be progressing again from that run and if that’s the case he’s got to be considered a big player in this. Crown Of India – 7/2 (Win) (NB)
