Welcome aboard to this Midweek Preview where I’ve got several selections from Warwick where we have a competitive card of National Hunt action. As ever, if you are punting make sure to do so in a responsible manner.

12.45: Trustatrader Apply Today Novices’ Hurdle: I’m starting off with the 1:45 which is a novice hurdle over two miles and three furlongs. I think that this can go to Jingko Blue for the team of Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville, he’s a bumper winner and arrives here with a big reputation for his powerhouse stable, it would be disappointing should he not go very close. Jingko Blue – 10/11 (Win)

1.55: Stan Mellor Memorial Novices’ Chase: My next pick comes in the 1.55 which is a novices chase over two miles and four furlongs. This is all about Iroko for me for Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero and the amount of Jonjo O’Neil Jr, he’s one of my favourite horses in training and I think he’s a fascinating chasing prospect for the season. He won the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham Festival last season and has bundles of potential. Iroko – 6/4 (Win)

2.30: Trustatrader Fully Vetted Tradespeople Handicap Hurdle: It’s handicap action where I turn my attention to next and this particular affair is contested over two miles. I’m siding with Royal Rhythm here for Jonjo O’Neil and Jonjo Jr, he won well on his stable debut last month at Carlisle when getting the better of Vocal Duke by over two lengths. He’s only been raised four pounds for that effort, and that might not be enough to stop him here. Royal Rhythm – 6/1 (Each-Way)

3.05: Jets Richard Davis Awards Handicap Chase: My fourth and final selection comes in the 3:05 which is a handicap chase over two miles and four furlongs. I’m taking a chance on Hartur D’Oudairies for Dan and Harry Skelton. He looked an exciting prospect when winning well over hurdles here a couple of years ago, and has clearly had a few issues since. He looks well handicapped though now and seems to enjoy this track, I think he could run a big race. Hartur D’Oudairies – 5/1 (Each-Way)
