SQUARE D’ALBONI – 4/5 (Win) (NAP)
Useful flat horse for Ralph Beckett, and ran a very encouraing race on his hurdles debut at Newbury last time out, finishing third behind a couple of nice types in Fire Warning and Bespoke Tailor. He should take a big step forward following that run, and is the one to beat here.

TOMMY PICKLES – 9/2 (Each-Way)
Jamie Snowden-trained six-year-old who won a point by ten and a half lengths last year, and ran with credit on his hurdles debut at Newton Abbot, when finishing third of nine. The form of that race is solid, with Gentleman Taoboot and A Pai De Nom in front of him, both of whom have franked the form. He could prove to be a big player here.

EL GAVILAN – 5/2 (Win)
Eight and a half length winner over course and distance last time out on heavy ground, and a six-pound rise by the handicapper following that success could prove to be generous here. The cheekpieces remain on for this assignment, and if he’s in the same form, he could prove tough to beat.

GWENNIE MAY JEM – 11/10 (Win) (NB)
Opened his account for Olly Murphy in emphatic style last time out at Lingfield, getting up by ten-lengths. Lewis Saunders takes a handy three pounds off on this occasion, and if he backs up that Lingfield success, he should post a bold bid to follow up here for his in-form yard.
