2.00 Ayr: Try Racing TV For Free Now Handicap Chase: After a day off we’re back in action on Tuesday and my first selection comes within the 2.00 at Ayr, which is a Class 4 handicap chase over two miles and half of a furlong. I’m with Cold Sobar here for the team of Stuart & Sam Coltherd. He’s a winning pointer who won twice over hurdles and was also fourth in a Grade 2 novice hurdle behind Captain Teague. He made a solid start to life over fences when third of seven at Carlisle last month three and three-quarters of a length behind King Of Tara, and he’ll contest this off the same mark. If he naturally progresses from that last run he’s in with a big shout. Cold Sobar – 11/4 (Win)
3.40 Ayr: Watch Racing TV For Free For 31 Days Handicap Hurdle: My second selection of the day comes in the 3.40 at Ayr and this is a Class 4 handicap hurdle that’s ridden over two miles and four and a half furlongs. I like Timmy Tuesday here who’s an Irish raider for Gordon Elliott and Sam Ewing. He’s a bit of character, however, certainly has a level of ability in his locker. He was actually third behind Cheltenham and Aintree winner Inothewayurthinkin at Cork way back in 2022 and following a layoff returned to the track last month. He progressed from a below-pare reappearance run to finish second behind the Willie Mullins trained Final Demand at Limerick last month and if he’s to come on again for that run he could take some stopping here. I think he’s the one they have to beat. Timmy Tuesday – 9/4 (Win)
5.15 Newcastle: Weekly £5 Free Bet With BetUK Handicap: It’s over to Newcastle on the all-weather for my third selection and this comes within the 5.15 which is a Class 6 handicap over six furlongs. I’m going with Fircombe Hall again here for the team of Phillip Kirby and Paul Mulrennan. He’s been knocking at the door for a while now and was last seen when finishing third over course and distance earlier this month. Paul Mulrennan now takes the rider who has plenty of winners at this track and the horse himself is a six-time course and distance winner. His return to the winner’s enclosure should be forthcoming off this kind of mark which is the same as his last winning one. Fircombe Hall – 3/1 (Win)
6.45 Newcastle: Win £1M With BetMGM’s Golden Goals Handicap: My fourth and final selection of the day comes within the 6.45 at Newcastle and this is also Class 6 handicap action but this time over seven furlongs. I like Penelope Valentine in this particular contest for Alice Haynes and Luke Morris. She’s shown significant progression since going handicapping having finished second on both of her starts, most recently at this track last month over course and distance. She’ll contest this off the same mark as her latest outing and if she turns up in the same form she can once again have a serious say under The Sniper. Penelope Valentine – 11/4 (Win)
