Midweek Preview. (11/12/2023)

Welcome aboard to this Midweek Preview where I’ll be turning my attention to Ayr as I have three selections throughout the afternoon there. As ever, make sure to gamble responsibly if you are punting.

12.20: Coral “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle: It’s the 12.20 where I kick things off which is a maiden hurdle contested over two miles. I think this is all about Florida Dreams who heads the betting for Nicky Richards and Danny McMenamin. He won a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree back in the spring and posted a solid enough effort on hurdling debut when third here last time out, he should build on that here and can still prove to be a progressive prospect for connections. Florida Dreams – 5/6 (Win)

1.50: Coral Racing Bet Bundles Handicap Hurdle: The 1.50 is where my second pick of the day will take place, and this is a handicap hurdle contested over two miles and four and a half furlongs. I’ve sided with Rafferty’s Return here who’s currently trading at 13/2 for Rebecca Menzies and Ross Chapman. He progressed from his seasonal reappearance effort at Wetherby last time out when finishing third of ten, and his mark is now a pound lower than his last winning one and his yard have been in decent form as of late. He could well have a big say in this. Rafferty’s Return – 13/2 (Each-Way)

2.50: Coral Committed To Safer Gambling Handicap Chase: My third selection comes in the 2.50 which is a handicap chase that is also ridden over two miles and four and a a half furlongs. I’ve gone with Euchan Falls here for Mike Smith and Danny McMenamin. He’s got better with each start throughout the autumn, finishing fourth of thirteen at Musselburgh last time out in November, just three lengths behind the winner. If progressing again here he’s got every chance of going well off a lowly weight. Euchan Falls – 7/2 (Win)
