Prix de Saint-Georges – GOLD VIBE @ 7/2
Gold Vibe is an experienced sprinter who was last seen when finishing sixth in the Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye here on Arc Day back in October. He doesn’t boast the most prolific of strike rates however has a very solid back catalogue of runs at a high level, if he turns up in form he’s got every chance of being bang there.
Main Danger – DUHAIL
Prix de Fontainebleau – VICTOR LUDORUM @ 8/13
Andre Fabre’s unbeaten three-year-old Victor Ludorum is one of the star attractions on this top card. The colt by Shamardal is one of the most exciting horses in training and boasts a lofty reputation, which was enhanced further with a Group 1 victory at this track on Arc day in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere. It would be disappointing should not put on a bold showing here for his powerhouse connections.
Main Danger – HELTER SKELTER
Prix de la Grotte – TROPBEAU @ 5/4
Another Andre Fabre trained three-year-old Tropbeau is another potentially top-class performer who also arrives here with a pretty big reputation. The filly by Showcasing had a very productive summer last year winning three on the bounce which included a Group 2 and 3 before finishing third in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket. If anywhere near her best here she should prove tough to beat.
Main Danger – KHAYZARAAN
Prix d’Harcourt – SOTTSASS @ 4/7
Winner of the last year’s French Derby and a third placed effort in the Arc see’s Sottsass very much the one to beat here. Something to note, however, is that he was beaten first time out last season but he wouldn’t need to be at his best to win this and should have enough class to see him through.
Main Danger – SHAMAN
Prix Maurice Zilber – WASMYA @ 9/2
Wasmya is a four-year-old filly by Toronado who is one of the least exposed sorts in this line-up. She won three of her four starts last term which included a Listed race in Germany before going onto finding the Group 1 Prix de la Foret too hot here on Arc Day. Back down in this grade she should be more comfortable and has every chance of bouncing back to winning ways.
Main Danger – SPINNING MEMORIES
