Goodwood Day 1 Punts.

Glorious Goodwood 2020

Tuesday 28th July 2020

The Punts:

1.15: VIVIDLY (12/1)

Comments: “Whilst favourite Wasaayef looks hard to beat, Vivdily was a winner of a decent maiden here last year before finding a Group 3 too hot. Wasn’t disgraced on first outing the season at Ascot the last day and if building on that could well run a good race here at a big price.”

1.45: YURI GAGARIN (11/1)

Comments: “Impressive winner on his first two starts before a disappointing favourite last time at Newmarket. Still unexposed and could have more to offer, reunited with William Buick who won on him at Kempton.”

2.15: BATTLEGROUND (11/8)

Comments: “First foal of the very smart Found and lived up to his reputation with an impressive win in the Chesham at Royal Ascot. If turning up in that kind of form here he should be putting on a very bold here in what looks a fairly average renewal of the Vintage Stakes.”

2.45: SPACE BLUES (5/2)

Comments: “Won both starts this season, started off with a Listed win at Haydock then followed up with a Group 3 in France. Still a lot more to come you’d imagine and he’ll take some stopping if continuing progression here. Old rival Safe Voyage will be a main danger again, espiecally if the rain comes.”

3.15: STRADIVARIUS (4/7)

Goodwood Cup Preview.

3.45: RECON MISSION (6/1)

Comments: “Likes to be handy and got a useful draw for that here, winner of a similar contest at York off this mark last year, and is arguably a lot more unexposed than some of these despite having a few miles on the clock himself. Every chance of a good run off this mark.”
