Aintree Festival Day 2 Punts. (05/04/2019)

Merseyrail Handicap Hurdle: MONT DES AVOLOIRS (14/1) (E/W)

(Ran a solid race a few starts ago at Newbury, also has soft ground form as well as course form. Could well bounce back from poor showing last time.)

Top Novices Hurdle: ARAMON (7/1) (E/W)

(Solid effort in the Supreme, Aintree looks tailor made for him and if the rain stays away he should have a big say in this.)

Mildmay Novices Chase: TOPOFTHEGAME (8/11)

(Very hard to oppose on the back of impressive win in the RSA. This race likely to cut up too with Lostintranslation looking the only big danger with La Bague Au Roi likely rerouted.)

Melling Chase: WAITING PATIENTLY (7/2)

(Nicholls pair both tough to beat if they turn up, Cyrname had jumping issues here last time however. If the rain comes Waiting Patiently could well be the answer, looked slightly laboured last time behind Cyrname but likely very much needed that outing.)

Topham Chase: CALL IT MAGIC (16/1) (E/W)

(Good effort here in the Becher back in November and trained stated she’s primed for this. Could well outrun her odds.)

Sefton Novices Hurdle: CHAMP (11/4) – DOWNTOWN GETAWAY (12/1) (E/W)

(Fantastic effort when second in the Ballymore at Cheltenham, this track likely to suit a lot better and got to be in with a massive shout. Stablemate Downtown Getaway looks to be crying out for this trip, also has soft ground form when hacking up his point. Could outrun his odds.)

Wetherbys National Hunt Flat Race: MCFABULOUS (11/4) – MASTER DEBONAIR (9/1) (E/W)

(McFabulous looked smart when hacking up at Newbury the last day and a bold showing is very likely here. Master Debonair was well below par at Cheltenham last time but that was coming off a lay off and is clearly better. Showed a good attitude in previous efforts and could bounce back here.)
