YORK EBOR FESTIVAL SELECTIONS (DAY 2)
1.50: Sky Bet Lowther Stakes
ARGENTINE TANGO – 12/1 (Each-Way)
Admirable filly who’s a Listed winner this term as well as running big races in Group 3 and 2 races in her latest two starts, the most recent coming when finishing within a length and a quarter behind the exciting Lady Iman at Goodwood last month, and that rival is currently the Nunthorpe favourite. She’s often written off in the betting and outruns her odds, and she could well do that again here.

2.25: Harry’s Half Million By Goffs
RAAKEB – 6/1 (Each-Way) (4 places)
Ran with credit in Group 2 company at Newmarket and Ascot, before running another solid race with sixth in the Super Sprint last time out. He was three and three-quarters of a length behind Anthelia that day; however, he’s much better off at the weights when reopposing that rival here. He’s clearly got class, and the Hannon yard has recently started firing in winners again.

3.00: Clipper Handicap
BULLET POINT – 3/1 (Win) (NAP)
Typically progressive type for this yard, winner of three handicaps on the spin before being narrowly denied in a couple of competitive Class 2 affairs at Ascot in his latest two starts. He remains on the same mark as his half of a length second last time out, and there is likely considerably more progression still to come from him. He should go close.

4.10: British EBF & Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes
RAINBOWS EDGE – 3/1 (Win) (NB)
Progressive type for the Gosden’s, who was narrowly denied when second in Listed company over ten and a half furlongs at this track last month. She won a competitive handicap at Ascot earlier this campaign, and I think she’ll almost certainly win at this level. It would be disappointing should she not post a bold bid.

4.45: Mews Hotel Ossett EBF Stallions Nursery Handicap
PEEL PARK – 7/1 (Each-Way) (6 places – Sky Bet)
Won well at the third time of asking last time out at Yarmouth last month over six furlongs, his pedigree suggests this step up to seven won’t be an issue, and he won going away last time out, which solidifies that theory. He looks a big player from a good draw under Ryan Moore.
AMAZING JOURNEY – 10/1 (Each-Way) (6 places – Sky Bet)
Novice winner who followed that success with a comfortable victory at this trick within a nursery handicap last month. He finished fifth in a competitive handicap at Goodwood last time out; however, he could’ve probably got closer that day given a clear run. He remains on the same mark here and has every chance of going well again.

5.20: British EBF Fillies’ Handicap
DANCE IN THE STORM – 6/1 (Each-Way) (5 places)
Progressive filly for Andrew Balding who’s already won a handicap earlier this season and Sandown, and was narrowly denied by a should when second at Goodwood earlier this month. She’s been nudged up three pounds for the Goodwood run, but it’s likely that it won’t be enough to halt her current rate of progression. A big run would be no surprise here under Oisin Murphy.
