He was sold as a result of that success and looks a potentially smart recruit for Tom Lacey, big player under a penalty.”

Comments: “Won this race last year by a narrow margin and has proved himself as a very useful chaser over the years. He wasn’t seen to best affect on his seasonal reappearance at Aintree last time out, but it’s likely that outing has sharpened him up for an attempt to retain his crown here.”

Very smart dual purpose horse, who won the November Handicap on the flat at Doncaster back in November, he’ll have to bounce back from a poor run in the Christmas Hurdle last time out, but he’s every chance of doing that here with a lot of aspects in his favour.”
