Midweek Flat Fancies. (12/06/2018)

Tuesday 12th June 2018

After another abomination of a Monday evening at Windsor I’ve decided to look at Salisbury and Thirsk with also Lingfield this evening.

It normally takes me about a week to get over these Windsor beatings so if you are following today I’d perhaps do so with caution!

2.00 – Urban Icon (5/2) (Jockey: T Marquand – Trainer: R Hannon)

(Won on debut the last day nicely in impressive fashion, connections think highly of him and another big run looks on the cards.)

2.30 – Wufuid (10/11) (Jockey: J Crowley – Trainer: C Hills)

(Well bred sort with top connections that should be building on second placed effort on debut the last day.)

3.30 – Muradeef (15/2) (E/W) (Jockey: J Crowley – Trainer – E Dunlop)

(Comfortably beaten in all three starts in Maiden company at big prices. Comes here on a low mark though for a first crack at Handicapping and could improve for top connections.)

2.15 – Ahlan Bil Emarati (3/1) (Jockey: T P Queally – Trainer: K A Ryan)

(Didnt do much infront the last day but has the form of the race and should go close again. Potentially vulnerable to newcomers.)

3.45 – Rosy Ryan (20/1) (E/W) (Jockey: C Murtagh (5) – Trainer: T Jackson)

(Put in a string on wins last summer and won on penultimate start. Form dips in between that run but only three pounds off last winning mark. Could outrun odds.)

NAP: Wuhuid (2.30 – Salisbury)

NB: Urban Icon (2.00 – Salisbury)

5.50 – Varsovian (15/8) (Jockey: R Winston – Trainer: D Ivory)

(If anywhere near his best he should be up to defying his weight and going very close here.)

6.20 – Crimean Queen (5/2) (Jockey: S Donohoe – Trainer: C Fellows)

(Moderate run on debut but behind a decent type. Likely to come on for that and go closer here, Well bred.)

6.50 – Caribbean Spring (11/8) (Jockey: J Elliott (3) – Trainer: G Margarson)

(A pound lower than when winning an apprentice race at the weekend, should be going close again here.)

7.20 – Howman (11/10) (Jockey: A Atzeni – Trainer: R Varian)

(Placed in a couple of decent contests and should be making a bold bid here for top yard if handling the trip.)

7.50 – Fanfair (4/1) (Jockey: R Ryan (5) – Trainer: R Hannon)

(Won a couple of times last summer and reappearance run was encouraging the last day when third, could be involved once again.)
