Friday Selections. Lingfield & Dundalk. (06/04/2018)

Friday 6th April 2018

Hardly the most inspiring of Friday racing you’ll ever see this week but i’ve had a go at trying to find some good things out of the Lingfield and Dundalk cards which has been testing to say the least. Here are the fancies….

2.50 – Enzo’s Lad (8/1) (E/W) (Jockey: R Kingscote – Trainer: K R Burke)

(Yet to get his head in front but hasn’t ran too badly in defeat. Was an average run the last day on reappearance and may well come on from that run.)

 3.55 – Zac Brown (5/2) (Jockey: W Carson – Trainer: C Wallis)

(A solid All Weather performer and is eased in Grade quite substantially here. Won off five pounds higher and was a close up second in a Class 2. Should be going close really.)

 4.30 – Poet’s Society (11/2) (E/W) (Jockey: J Fanning – Trainer: M Johnston)

(Generally performs well at this level, draw isn’t ideal today but has been running well here in better races. Got the ability to overcome the draw and be competitive here at this level.)

20180406_0111365.05 – Zamjar (9/4) (Jockey: S De Sousa – Trainer: R M H Cowell)

(Ran well in second off this mark the last day at Wolverhampton. All his wins have come at this trip and a bold showing is likely here. SDS on board too.)

5.35 – Polar Light (11/4) (Jockey: D Egan (3) – Trainer: D R C Elsworth)

(Short head second the last day at Kempton and a win does look on the cards soon. Could well be exposed to newcomers which is the obvious concern.)20180406_011110

7.00 – Andesh (15/8) (Jockey: C O’Donoghue – Trainer: M Halford)

(Was within a length of Mendlessohn on debut at the Curragh, has since gone on to win over track and trip last Autumn. Likely to go very close here.)

7.30 – Ambassadorial (9/2) (Jockey: C O’Donoghue – Trainer: M Halford)

(Ran well in a lot better races than this and could well be a lot better than this lot. Should be going close here, main dangers look to be Silk Cravat and Togoville.)

NAP: Andesh – 7.00 Dundalk

NB: Zac Brown – 3.55 Lingfield
