3.35 Super Sprint Stakes 5f (Class 2)
This is an absolute minefield of a race to get your head around as are many of these sprint races. It’s headed by Maggies Angel who’s quite considerably clear at the top of the market trading at a general 3/1 for Richard Fahey and Paul Hanagan. She has ran well in all of her starts since her maiden win against her own sex. Fahey has won this twice in the last two years so she looks as though she’s going to be making a serious bid.
There’s a couple of each way alternative’s I like here at much more appealing odds than the market principle starting off with Corinthia Knight for Archie Watson and Luke Morris. He won well on his first two starts before finishing second in a Class 2 contest and the ninth in the Listed Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. I still think there could be more to come from this one judged on those two impressive wins and at 12/1 it’s worth chancing on as an each way bid.
The other one I like here at a big price is Time Trail for Michael Dods and Andrew Mullen. She has won her only two starts in albeit a lot less company but has showed a really promising attitude in both of those wins as well as giving weight away in that last victory. Granted she’s massively up in grade here but trading at a general 22/1 which is a more than good enough price to take a chance with.
Selections: Corinthia Knight 12/1 E/W – Time Trail 22/1 E/W
